Glacier National Park Engagement Session – A+S

Amy and Spencer celebrating their engagement on the beach at Lake McDonald, GNP.

As I stood there, camera in hand, watching the sun slowly set behind the majestic mountains of Glacier National Park, I couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of appreciation for this moment in time. It was not just a simple engagement session, but a journey into the depths of love, connection, and nature’s ever-changing beauty.

Amy and Spencer had chosen this breathtaking location for their intimate and romantic engagement session, and I couldn’t have been more excited to capture their love amidst the stunning backdrop of Glacier National Park. We began our adventure by driving down to the North end of Lake McDonald and hiking down beyond the Lodge, setting the stage for a truly magical experience.

As we started taking photos in the creek that gracefully meandered alongside the lodge, I could feel the energy of the surroundings blend with the joy and excitement radiating from Amy and Spencer. The water flowed effortlessly, symbolizing the flowing of time, passing by so quickly yet leaving a lasting impression on our memories. At this very moment, I realized the power of photography – to capture not just the physicality of a scene, but the emotions, the essence of life itself.

To my surprise, a couple of does decide to join us by the creek, sipping from the crystal-clear water. It was as if they too understood the significance of this moment, the magic that happens when two souls come together, ready to embark on a lifelong journey filled with love and companionship. The presence of these graceful creatures further highlighted the harmony between humans and nature, that beautiful dance between two worlds, merging together for a brief, yet unforgettable encounter.

Our session continued, with endless poses by the water, each one capturing a unique facet of Amy and Spencer’s love story. As they experienced Glacier National Park for the first time, I couldn’t help but reflect on my own journey as a photographer. The countless engagements, weddings, and intimate moments I’ve had the honor of capturing – have all become a part of my growth, both as an artist and as an individual.

Glacier National Park has always held a special place in my heart, with its timeless beauty and cinematic landscapes. Each visit to this mesmerizing location offers new perspectives, new ways to see the world through my lens. And witnessing couples like Amy and Spencer see GNP for the first time – it’s a reminder of why I do what I do. To freeze these precious moments in time, to encapsulate the raw emotions, and to create images that will be cherished and shared for generations to come.

As the sun descended below the mountains, casting a warm golden glow across the landscape, we knew it was time to wrap up our session. The fading light mirrored the bittersweet feeling of the passing day, a reminder that life is a series of fleeting moments, meant to be cherished and savored.

The engagement session with Amy and Spencer in Glacier National Park was truly a dreamy and sweet experience, but it was so much more than that. Ready to start planning your epic Elopement?

You are so close to living your best day ever!

Wherever you are in the process of planning your elopement, I want to be there to guide you! Planning your best day ever does not have to be scary or stressful, and I will be there through the whole process!

Hey I'm Amberly!

I’m on a journey of finding myself in Christ. Learning more everyday about who He says I am, and the life He has planned for me. In doing that I have come from a life of many struggles, and I think if I can give a little piece of myself to the couples I work with, maybe I can help them grow too.

I lost my father six years ago to brain cancer, and everything I thought I knew about life was flipped upside down. Then, when my daughter's father passed away, that happened all over again. I learned quickly just how much of my life I had taken for granted, or missed all together, because I just wasn’t living.

I stopped living for all the people around me, and started looking inward and doing things that helped me feel more alive and less like a shell of a person. I moved to Montana and picked up photography for the very first time.

As I grew as a photographer, I looked around at the wedding scene and saw so many people doing things just because the people in their lives wanted them to, rather than having a day that breathed life into them. I set out to change that, and here we are.

I want to help couples have the wedding day that I wish I had!

We want you to be a part of our story!
